I did try to raise this topic in the Hellooooooooooo thread but it was studiously overlooked...
So - I'll try again here in a new dedicated thread.
I'm looking to rent a digital camera setup:
Body, lenses, flash, tripod etc etc suitable for wedding photography and direct downloading of images onto my laptop.
From July 18th ish through to beginning of August. The kit will be travelling to the Caribbean with me so it needs to be fairly lightweight too.
Anyone got any recommendations? I'm so so out of touch with the photographic industry now that I haven't a clue where to start looking!
I'm hoping there will be an ample supply of expert knowledge on this bulletin board to help me out!
Cheers
Kit

Kit I don't think you will be as out of touch as me and unfortunately all my stuff is nearing antique stage but my Nikon s.l.r my Pentax point and click my Nikon Point and click and my Cannon A.D.M. kind hand me down, are all available although I know they are not what you are looking for, but at your disposal anytime. Sorry I can't be more helpful. Cheers Keith

I'm actually tempted by the "ADM hand me down" as a back up to whatever I eventually take if that's OK? Light, excellent quality etc. - and most importantly digital images that I can check immediately.
Dont want to borrow anything that has historical and / or sentimental value of course.
Looks like you and I are the only photographic experts in our Forum?
Colme on guys! I'm running out of time here - Maybe I should bring the subject up at the next meeting....
Who's running the agenda this time?

I think the agenda is sort of self motivating this far from the do, but it does give us a frame to build around. I like the idea of us being the only experts, might be a good point on the agenda! I'm sure one of the others will turn up trumps but if not , you are more than welcome to a borrow.
