Still no word from our ADM re the next meeting......... I'm getting thirsty, don't know about you?
Mind you I think ADM has been on holiday and is only just back...
Rocket Roni is next in line and maybe he should get to choose the next venue if ADM doesn't get his finger out?
Should we allow "leapfrogging" under such circumstances?
Should we impose a time timit for future venue selections?
What say you? Let's discuss it rather than stick up a pole (sic)

STOP PRESS: Tony has now been in touch to suggest Friday the 16th October. Venue is currently unconfirmed but there is a favoured one by the sound of it and will be revealed closer to the date. So - That's fine with me...... It is Tony's turn to choose so we all need to try and fit in with his choice. How about everyone else? 16th Oct OK? I suspect 4 or more yesses will be enough to confirm.... However - Kit is right, he always is of course, we do need to decide on some ground rules concerning the selection of a date and venue for subsequent meetings and how we proceed if the decision drags on. Cheers The Admin Dude.

He didn't happen to mention what he has in mind for the evening did he?
I want to make sure that I have the appropriate clothing or equipment available on the night!
In the meantime I'll update the front page of the website with the current info.

Graham is having a bit of trouble posting a message on here - not too sure what the problem is:
However he's asked me to post his message - so here it is:
Hi Kit, I read your message on the message forum, cobbled up a reply and got the "you are not allowed to send replies to this forum" notice so I'm sending it to you here...:-) I've put Fri. 16th Oct. in the diary as an ok for me and Anita. We Will Be There. I'm getting too used to people saying "I thought he was dead...." so I've cancelled any thoughts of an early demise in October.....!! As for choosing a venue in a time limit, how about setting a three week limit from the previous venues close. That should be plenty of time for finding a suitable sup-cum-nosh venue in anyone's area - especially for those lot down in God's Own Country........!! Regards, Graham.

I like your 3 week suggested time limit Graham. No-one goes on holiday for 3 weeks - do they?
What does everyone else think?
3 weeks and if no decision then it the ball moves on to the next in line?
Bearing in mind that it was agreed by all present at the Manningtree station venue that the ideal interval between meetings should be around 6 weeks.....

I don't know if he finally decided but Tony did mention the XXXXXX saying he heard it had good beer!! I did hear Ron had been barred from there or is that just a filthy rumor? I have just read the Google mail site and it would appear Tony's choice is still a secret so I've just edited it out, can't bear the suspense.

OK, if Tony's set the date but is keeping the venue a secret it could only mean two things, one he hasn't paid the bar bill at his local and they won't let us in till he has, and two word's got round that Jant hasn't bought a last round since the last reuneon and the landlord's worried about bankruptcy......!!!! Why don't we all turn up at Tony's gaf and Ann can cook us up a slap-up supper while Tony raids the wine cellar....:-)

Too little blood in the alcohol stream mayhap? Never mind....... This one looks like it's going to be very well attended. All we really need to know is WHERE we are going? I do know that it is near (from Tony) and all you will need to bring is your right arm (and sme money I guess) but there are one or two things to sort out? Keith obviously knows where Tony is thinking of , but for reasons unknown he must have decided to snub his mates and keep shtum. Hey ho..... Good to see you tonight Keith - Hope you got the milk in.
