Our standard agenda items are (as I recall & are therefore subject to your correction):
Meeting declared open once a quorum has materialised Collection of the £2 subs Agreement on how much might be in the reunion fund to date Decision on whether a kitty is required for the evening refreshments Query what the hell happened to the leftover kitty from the previous meeting(s)? Agreement of who's turn it is to select the next venue Decide Date, time and venue of the next meeting (We tend to fail sometimes on this item) Get a few rounds in - Tell Tall stories and Yarns...... (fact or fiction is fine) AOB Close
If anyone has a topic they want to add to the agenda please add it below - and whoever is compiling the next agenda for our next gathering may well include it. Whether it'll make the minutes afterwards is another story and will depend upon the impact of the item and whether anyone was listening. Cheers Kit

how about discussions on how to get Jaffer to buy a round! Well, as an agenda item I guess this topic would need to come ahead of any "kitty" discussions? It would need to be timed to follow Jaffers arrival but crucially, it also need to be just before a new round of drinks was needed. There might never be an opportune time? Personally I think the discussion would be useful - on a theoretical level - but l don't believe this item has any real legs at all. Think about what you are actually asking to happen here.... have you ever seen it done? Is it in fact possible? Best of luck with this one! ;D

I think it's Jaffer's turn to drive so he gets let off anyway. We could start thinking about a venue for 2013 it is only 34 months away and you know how quick that will go. By the way it's my turn next I believe to choose our late Feb early March location Cheers Keith

Loved your reference to Yes Minister JC. One of the funniest and best written comedies ever. Maybe Kit has a hidden talent for satirical script writing. Anyway, hope you are all well...is it too late to wish you all a happy new year??? Coming over for a match next month but unfortunately Hotel Ramsdale is closed as he's hob nobbing with the ski set lol

"Query what the hell happened to the leftover kitty from the previous meeting(s)?"................ The Asst Treasurer is looking after a float of £22.60. See my e-mail dated 04/12/09 as follows : "Just to confirm that I seem to be holding a float of £22.60, so we can start the next meeting off with that in hand." and my Minutes of the Meeting e-mailed 12/12/09 as follows : " As we left, a rather suspicious looking Chinaman pressed £22.60 into my hand and muttered something about it being for the next delivery." Item for the Agenda : Ratification of the Assistant Treasurer as a cheque signatory on the bank account. The necessary forms have been completed and will be presented to the Meeting for a final signature. Rocket Roni

Protection of the venue selection running order. What is the revised plan if the nominated selector fails to select? (for whatever reason - contingency needed?)

Protection of the venue selection running order. What is the revised plan if the nominated selector fails to select? (for whatever reason - contingency needed?) 1.00 Vote on an emergency venue for members to meet at if the nominated selector cannot make his mind up ( MIDWAY!) 2.00 Discuss a grand summer outing, at the beach 3.00 Test Jaffa on his Latin, then get him to buy a round

For the venue after next I would like to suggest Friday the 19th March at the Brick and Tile Eight Ash Green. Now I know what you are thinking Crappy pub even crappier beer miserable landlord >:(he's only chosen that because it's just down the road. But you would be wrong!! First off all it's the only pub that is within walking distance for 4 of us (5 if Chris stays at mine). Cheap taxi ride for Tony and Ron (if he stays at Pam's) But that's not the main thing, 38 local pubs are closing every week and I think the Brick is vulnerable and could be next. So it' a good thing we are doing. AND I would offer to collect anyone and bring them if they so required (this does not include a lift home--Sorry )
