Calling any women ship's photographers (or men who worked with them). I am writing about the history of women working at sea (including engineers). History Press, 2015.
Would you kindly get in touch to help me understand what it was like to do that work and live that life? I've talked to women photographers sailing in the 1990s and today. But I would really like to hear about the earlier period. For example, why might it have been assumed an unsuitable job for a woman, in the 1960s?
Thank you and appreciative wishes, Jo Stanley. j_v_stanley @ hotmail.com (obviously you'll omit those spaces; they're just there to deter spammers). We could do this by phone, if you liked. PS. I'd also be very grateful for any photos of women doing the job.
